Welcome to water-
We offer baby swim lessons that provide a valuable experience for you and your little one. Our somatic swim approach offers a fun and engaging learning experience that promotes bonding, brain activation, and muscle memory. Our classes are designed to teach water safety in a safe and enjoyable environment that strengthens early swimming skills. We practice skills over & over again as the repetition creates muscle memory & each month, your baby will grow in skills & safety.

Please note that an adult gets into the water with the child. Happy Nappy diapers can be purchased at the pool or online. These are the only diapers we have found that hold accidents in.

Our Baby Bonding Water Classes are designed to create a deeper connection between parent or caregiver and child while fostering comfort and confidence in water. This unique program emphasizes the importance of early water exposure, incorporating knowledge about the seven reflexes, water safety, and somatic movements to ensure a holistic and enjoyable learning experience.
-
Introduction and Preparation (On Land):
-
Gentle Massage: We begin with a calming massage session to relax both parent and baby, promoting a sense of trust and security.
-
Directional Guidance: Clear instructions and demonstrations are provided to help parents understand the movements and techniques that will be used in the water
-
Water Acclimation: Gradual introduction to water, allowing babies to feel comfortable and safe.
-
Reflex Exploration: Learning about and observing the seven reflexes in infants, which play a crucial role in their water adaptation.
-
Somatic Movements: Gentle, guided movements in the water to enhance physical and cognitive development.
-
Flexible Participation: Babies are not expected to stay in the water for the full 35 minutes. We follow the baby's lead, ensuring a positive and stress-free experience.
-
Observation and Learning: Parents are encouraged to observe and learn from outside the pool if their baby needs a break. This approach helps in acquiring new skills while maintaining the baby's comfort and happiness.
-
Course Goals:
-
Enhanced Comfort for Adults: Building the caregiver’s confidence and comfort in handling their baby in water, laying the groundwork for a consistent weekly or daily water practice.
-
Brain Stimulation and Development: Early water exposure is profoundly beneficial for a child’s brain development, enhancing their sensory and motor skills from a young age.
